C: Citizenship While every resident is entitled to be registered, the registration authority (your city or county council) needs to know a person's citizenship to determine the elections at which they may vote. The right to vote is as follows:
D: Two versions of the register Since 2004, registration authorities are required to publish two versions of the register - the full version and the edited version. The full register lists everyone who is entitled to vote and can only be used for an electoral or other statutory purpose. EDITED REGISTER The edited register contains the names and addresses of persons whose details can be used for a purpose other than an electoral or other statutory purpose e.g. for direct marketing use by a commercial or other organisation. If any member(s) of the household do not want their details to be included on the edited register, you should tick the relevant opt out box(es) in column (v) at part 3 of the form.
